JWSC Rate Increases Approved After Very Little Public Input

After two town hall meetings, that generated little interest, the Brunswick Glynn Joint Water and Sewer Commission approved their 2018 budget and rate resolution during a called meeting yesterday afternoon. Water bills for single family residences that use 4,000 gallons a month will increase by approximately $6. Tap-fees will also increase. Brunswick Mayor Cornell Harvey, who sits on the JWSC said the utility gave people a chance to voice their opinion and got very little comment.
