With the approval of the budget for their upcoming fiscal year yesterday, the Jekyll Island Authority agreed to increase the island’s $6 toll to $10 for three specific events: July 4th, the Shrimp & Grits Festival in September, and the Christmas Tree Lighting in November. The additional $4 fee will increase the daily pass rate to $10; the oversized vehicle rate to $14; and the weekly pass rate to $32 for those three events which total five days. There is no change in the annual pass rate.
