Speaking to his membership yesterday on St. Simons Island, Georgia Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Chris Carter, presented a state wide economic outlook saying there were sizable gaps in economic conditions between metro areas like Atlanta and rural areas like Tifton. Glynn County is one of the counties that is right on the bubble hovering between prosperity and distress. While Glynn is better off than the distressed counties, it is not as prosperous as it should be in order to keep the GDP growing and people employed.
