Public safety workers and volunteers spent the Memorial Day weekend searching the Marshes of MacKay for 72 year old Linda Mansfield who was reported missing May 22. The search included the use of cadaver recovery dogs and searches of ponds and wooded areas but police have not ruled out Mansfield being found alive. Her son, 49 year old John William Roosevelt, has been arrested and charged with forgery and theft and remains in jail. However, County Police Chief Matt Doering would not identify Roosevelt as a suspect in his mother’s disappearance.
