27 year old John Paul Mazzo allegedly shot 38 year old Donald Griffith in the face Sunday night after Mazzo thought Griffith was flirting with his girlfriend. The shooting took place at the Golden Isles RV park on the Blythe Island Highway. Glynn County police arrested Mazzo later at his home on Fourth St. He remains in the Glynn County Detention Center charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Griffith was treated at Southeast Georgia Health System and released.
