The City of Brunswick will miss the traditional Memorial Day opening of the Howard Coffin Park swimming pool due to a resurfacing project. The project calls for the entire pool surface to be pressure washed and treated with an acid wash. All waterline tiles around the perimeter of the pool will be removed and replaced. The deadline for contractors to submit proposals for the work is 1 p.m. May 4. The contractor will have 30 days to complete the $75,000 project.
