County Spend Money to Repair Marina

The Glynn County Commission agreed last night to spend no more than $9,000 to help repair the docks at the St. Simons Marina that were damaged during Hurricane Matthew. The county owns the marina on the east side of the Frederica River and has leased to the St. Simons Boating and Fishing club for a number of decades. Island Commissioner Dr. Peter Murphy said he would work with the club to help raise the marina’s profile as a public facility open to all boaters and get rid of the numerous boat trailers parked on county property.
