If approved by the Glynn County Commission this week, county employees Vicky McClinton and Jay Wiggins will receive substantial pay increases. McClinton, the finance manager, is being recommended for an increase of $17,000 bringing her salary to $84,500, while EMA director Wiggins is being recommended for an additional $11,900 bringing his salary to $84,100, which is the maximum salary for his bracket. Pension committee chairman Richard Strickland said the purpose is to bring their salaries in line with other, similar positions within the county and to make them competitive.
