Lobbyists Hired in All Out Push for Georgia Casinos

According to the Wall Street Journal in an effort to legalize casino gambling in Georgia seven corporations have hired more than 50 lobbyists to press their case at the state capitol. The General Assembly is considering a proposal to allow two casinos in Georgia, one of them in Atlanta. The proposed constitutional amendment requires Gov. Nathan Deal’s signature as well as the approval of voters.
