After the threats of a school shooting posted on a bathroom stall in the Glynn Academy Science building circulated on social media, a significant number of Glynn Academy parents kept their children home. As many as fifty percent of the students were absent Friday. The numbers were so large due to the threat of violence, that the school decided that Friday would be an excused absence for those who did not attend. Friday, a sixteen year old student was identified by a witness as having written the note and was sent home. Charges as pending the full investigation.
