57 year old Alan Moore of Screven died early yesterday morning when his pickup truck crashed into an oncoming Freightliner tractor on U.S. 341 at the intersection in front of Wayne County High School in Jesup. It appeared that Moore drove his pickup truck into the path of the tractor trailer authorities said. The driver of the Freightliner, 43 year old James Short of Midway, did not suffer life threatening injuries. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
