”DETAILS:
During the course of the death investigation, GCPD detectives identified the female victim as Dawn M. Newbauer (52yoa) a Glynn County resident. Her family has been notified of her death. Evidence recovered from the scene and surrounding area assisted detectives in identifying and locating a person of interest in the case, who was known to the victim.
GCPD detectives were able to secure several search warrants, which led to the recovery of key evidence believed to be involved in this case, including a firearm.
As a result of these findings and consultation with the Glynn County District Attorney's Office, Detectives have charged Ricky Ricardo Easterling (50yoa), with the following crimes:
Felony Murder - Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
(2) Counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Easterling was arrested and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and remanded into the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff's Office.
