Around midnight Monday morning, an ambulance was stolen from the Brunswick campus of Southeast Georgia health System, and the thief led law enforcement on a chase that ended in Liberty County. Rescue 11 was taken from the hospital just after midnight, the thief heading up Highway 17 North. Near mile marker 67, police employed stop sticks and flattened the tires of the vehicle, at which point the suspect fled on foot. He was apprehended after a short chase.
