Issued by Glynn County Schools SROs:
This morning at approximately 0950 hrs., a student called into Jane Macon Middle School and advised there was a shooting taking place at the school. The school was placed on code yellow while Officer Hasbrouck who is currently assigned to the school, along with several Glynn County Officers are looking into the phone call placed from the school by the unknown student.
At this time, there has only been 1 student who has made this call. The phone call is being investigated.
Everything is okay at this time. No active threats have been made.
UPDATE: The student has been located and the Code Yellow has been lifted.
