DRUGS AND GUN SEIZED DURING SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION
On Friday, August 3, 2018, investigators with the Glynn-Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team (G-B NET) executed a search warrant at a residence at 140 Northwood Drive in the Northwood Estates subdivision.
The search warrant was in connection with a long-term narcotics distribution investigation. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators seized methamphetamine, marijuana, drug related objects, and a .40 caliber handgun.During the execution of the search warrant, police encountered 53-year-old Gregory Trent Ruffner, a resident of Glynn County. Ruffner became violent and physically fought with officers. He has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer with Violence, Removal or Attempted Removal of a Weapon from a Police Official,Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
