Officers with the Brunswick Police Department conducted an undercover operation for those interested in child pornography. This is an ongoing effort by the Brunswick Police Department and Internet Crimes against Children’s Task Force. As a result of this investigation the following individuals were arrested and charged with the following offenses.
On May 7, 2019 Eric Lee Walker 32, of Brunswick, Georgia was arrested and charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes. Eric Lee Walker solicited sexual favors, via the internet, from a male juvenile he believed to be under the age of 16, when in fact he was communicating with an undercover officer trained in internet crimes against children.
On May 7, Richard Gary Jacobson 71, of Brunswick, Georgia was arrested and charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes Richard Gary Jacobson solicited sexual favors, via the internet, from a male juvenile he believed to be under the age of 16, when in fact he was communicating with an undercover officer trained in internet crimes against children. Richard Gary Jacobson was also charged with Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention for sending pornographic pictures to same juvenile he believed to be under the age of 16.
On May 17, Christopher Daniel Bowen 39, of Jekyll Island, Georgia was arrested and charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes. Christopher Daniel Bowen solicited sexual favors, via the internet, from a male juvenile he believed to be under the age of 16, when in fact he was communicating with an undercover officer with the Brunswick Police Department. Christopher Daniel Bowen was also charged with Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention (Sexual Exploitation), for sending pornographic pictures to same juvenile he believed to be under the age of 16.
All three suspects were transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and released to the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff’s office.
