This morning Governor Brian Kemp issued a Public Health State of Emergency as there are 64 known cases of COVID-19 in the state and one death. Kemp said the rise in COVID-19 cases is the largest increase in a 24 hour period to date.
The order will allow access to state resources in an effort to stop the virus from spreading over the state. With the rise of COVID-19 cases, thousands of students are staying home. Many schools and universities have canceled school, extended Spring break, or have begun implementing online courses.
