Two women have filed a lawsuit against Frontier Airlines after they claim to have been sexually assaulted by their fellow passengers and employees with the budget airline did nothing to help, the Associated Press reports.

According to the class action lawsuit filed on Dec. 16 obtained by the news outlet, two Denver residents claim that in separate incidents they'd both been assaulted.

One woman states in the lawsuit that she was on a flight between Denver and Providence, Rhode Island, on Oct. 20, 2018 when she was sexually assaulted by a man sitting next to her. The woman states she asked to be moved to a different seat, a request the flight crew refused.

The second woman says she was sexually assaulted by a man on a flight from Denver to Florida on Nov. 30, 2018. Both women say they reported their assaults to flight attendants who did not report them to anyone else, nor did they request law enforcement meet the planes at the gate after the plane landed.

A spokesperson for Frontier Airlines wouldn't comment on pending litigation, however, they added that "the safety of our passengers and crew members is our number one priority at Frontier Airlines and we have strict policies in place to proactively and appropriately respond to reports of misconduct and alleged crimes."

The class action lawsuit is also seeking relief for any other passengers who may have been assaulted on any Frontier flights between Dec. 16, 2017 and now.
