Full High School Football Season to Be Played

After a meeting this afternoon, the Georgia High School Association announced that public high schools in Georgia will play a full ten-game season with a full five-game playoff schedule. The regular season will be moved back two weeks, officially starting September 4th. The move comes a day after GHSA Executive Director Robin Hines told media outlets that he was opposed to canceling any or part of the upcoming football season.

The issue of other falls sports was addressed at the meeting as well. All other fall sports will continue as originally scheduled.

No word on how attendance at the games will work or if that will be left up to the local Athletic Directors.
