DA's Timeline in the Sasser Case

5/13 -2:09 AM- Robert "Cory" Cliffton Sasser contacts Glynn County Police non-emergency dispatch and requests three vehicle license tags be queried. Of the three vehicle license tags that are queried, a silver 2017 Ford F-250 returned to Johnny Edward Hall Jr. Sasser was informed of Hall's name and address of Darien, by dispatch personnel. At that time, dispatch informed Sasser they were unable to do a driver's license check on Hall.

-2:29 AM- 2:30 AM- Sasser used his Glynn County Police Department assigned ORI and computer system to perform a GCIC query of Hall's vehicle license tag and Hall's name to obtain his driver's license information. The query would have yielded Hall's name, date of birth, address, vehicle information, and a photograph.

-3:10 AM- 911 is contacted and requested to respond to.Promenade Place, Brunswick,Georgia, to the residence of Katie Kettles Sasser. The male caller informed that someone was "trying to break in," and someone was "kicking the door in." Multiple Glynn County Police Department Officers respond to Katie's residence to find Sasser outside the residence, and Katie and John Hall inside. At conclusion of the incident, no arrests are made and Sasser leaves Katie's residence.

~3:20 AM- Joanna Jessup Hall, John Hall's Wife, estimated that at 3:20 AM, she received two missed calls via her www.facebook.com account, from Sasser's friend, Robert Hamilton Moore.

~AM-Joanna estimated that later in the morning, she sent messages to Moore,via www.facebook.com asking if Moore had tried to call her and if he needed help with something. Moore replied that Sasser had been trying to get ahold of her, he had used Moore's phone, and he wasn't sure what it was about. Communication concluded when Joanna asked who Sasser was.

5/15 -Sasser was arrested for misdemeanor charges of O.C.G.A. 16-5-23(a}(l) Simple Battery Family Violence Act and O.C.G.A. 16-7-21(b}(2) Criminal Trespass Family Violence Act.-Sasser received a bond following arrest. Special conditions of the bond noted that Sasser was to have no violent contact with Katie, that he was to "attend psychiatric counseling weekly as prescribed by physician," and "all weapons to remain secured in safe/service weapons returned to Glynn Co. PD."

-Katie completed a 'Victim's Affidavit" that requested Sasser's bond order be modified so that Sasser could have contact with her.

5/16 -Joanna and Moore communicate via www.facebook.com and via text message regarding the incident at Katie's residence on May 13, 2018. Moore indicated to Joanna that he wasn't involved in the incident, and after Joanna acknowledged that John was part of it, Moore agreed and informed "that's why they were trying to get a hold of you that night to let you know."

5/16 - 5/17 -Occurring from the evening of 5/16 until the early morning of 5/17, when Sasser was on the phone with a friend, Perri Rothemich, a gunshot was heard and Sasser was thought to have shot himself. A search for Sasser's vehicle was initiated and he was located at Hutcheson Plantation, in Brunswick, Georgia. During the incident, Sasser was located inside of a truck, and was thought to have a firearm in his possession. When law enforcement approached Sasser and his vehicle, Sasser was shot with a taser. While he was being examined by medics, Sasser kicked Glynn County Police Department Officers and was subsequently arrested on two counts of felony O.C.G.A. 16-10-24B Obstruction of An Officer with Violence, and one count of misdemeanor O.C.G.A. 16-10-24A Obstruction of an Officer. Sasser was then transported to a medical facility.

5/17 -Sasser's Glynn County Police Department issued vehicle, radio, computer, and other assigned items were retrieved by Glynn County Police Department personnel. After this date, Sasser had no access to the aforementioned items.

5/20 -Sasser performed multiple website searches via his cellular telephone about 2018 ToyotaTacoma.

5/24 -Sasser's bond hearing at the Glynn County Magistrate Court. Among the special conditions ofbthe bond were that Sasser was released into the custody of his son, Robert Bryce Sasser, he was ordered to have "absolutely no contact of any kind, whether in writing, on the phone, using e-mail or other electronic means or otherwise," with Katie, Sasser was ordered to leave the Brunswick Judicial Circuit within two hours and not return except to attend court functions, he was ordered to reside with his sister in Theodore, Alabama, was to seek treatment for PTSD, was to notify CSRA Probation 48 hours before his return to Glynn County for any reason, and he was to "give all guns and weapons to a third party, shall not possess any such weapons during the pend ency of this bond Order and shall not purchase or possess any gun, whether a long gun, shotgun or handgun."-Sasser and Bryce drove to Alabama, per the bond order.

5/29 -Sasser searched "How does law enforcement deal with an individual threatening to commit suicide? What is the likely outcome?," "police violate civil rights when trying to stop suicide," and"Suicide intervention: How cops can avoid getting sued," via his cellular telephone.

5/30 -Joanna sent a message via www.facebook.com to Sasser's sister, Dannette Sasser, stating that she wanted to speak with Sasser and asking her to pass on her contact phone number to him.

5/31 -12:52 AM - First communication between Sasser and Joanna via cellular telephone. They speak about the incident on May 13, and Sasser explained to Joanna that after spending the day with Katie, he had gone to Katie's residence on May 13, and through the blinds, saw Katie and John making out.

5/31 -10:05 AM - Second communication between Sasser and Joanna via cellular telephone. Again,they speak about the incident on May 13, Sasser asked Joanna if she thought Katie and John had been seeing each other, and Sasser noted that he and Joanna had a mutual friend in Brittany Ferrell.

6/2 -2:03 PM- Joanna contacts Katie via text message and inquired if she and John were involved or if it was a one night thing. After Joanna identified herself, Katie replied that she and John had never been involved, and she asked Joanna to not text her anymore. Their text communication concluded at 2:26 PM

-2:47 PM - First text communication between Sasser and Joanna. Sasser asked Joanna if she was in Darien; she answered with multiple question marks. After Sasser identified himself to Joanna, he informed that "I was just told they may be together tonight. I don't know. Just people texting me." Joanna replied, "No. I'm here. He will be here." Sasser apologized for bothering Joanna and noted that he was sure it was "people trying to keep the drama going." Their text communication concluded at 3:10 PM.

-7:42 PM - 7:55PM - Sasser made multiple searches about and visits to web pages regardingbond revocation via his cellular telephone.

6/18 -Sasser contacted CSRA Probation and informed he would be returning to Glynn County on 6/25 and that he had a scheduled divorce hearing on 6/26. He added that he was going to the Savannah VAClinic on 6/27 and if his Glynn County banishment wasn't lifted, he would return to Alabama on 6/28. CSRA Probation Officer Amy Corcoran noted that Sasser was allowed to be in Glynn County until Wednesday, 6/27 morning, when he was to go to Savannah, Georgia.

6/22 -Sasser is in Jacksonville, Florida and he meets with Bryce, and multiple friends for Glynn County Police Officer Justin Smith's birthday party at Top Golf and Mavericks.

6/23 -Sasser is in Jacksonville, Florida.

6/24 -Sasser is at his residence at 37 Hunters Drive, Brunswick, Georgia, in the afternoon. Sasser's cellular telephone location data confirms that at 12:42 pm, his cellular telephone hits off a tower in Brunswick, Georgia. Sasser cleans his residence during the afternoon and returns to Jacksonville, Florida to eat dinner with Bryce and their friends.

Monday, June 25, 2018 During the day, a photograph is posted on www.facebook.com of Sasser eating at Zeig's Cafe, in Brunswick, Georgia. In the late afternoon, Sasser meets with Criminal Attorney Alan David Tucker at his office in Brunswick,Georgia.

2:20 PM - 2:23 PM- Sasser searches "how. to get you mortgage. license," "mortage broker requirements in GA," and "State Licensing Requirements," via his cellular telephone.6:35 PM - 6:37 PM- Sasser searches "Sovereign immunity," "do police have soverign immunity," and"How Does Gorernmental Immunity Apply to the Acts of Police Officers?" via his cellular telephone.

7:00 PM - Sasser meets with LeAnn Duckworth of Duckworth Properties, her daughter, Hannah Melton,and Melton's husband and owner of J & J Tire, Jacob Melton, to eat dinner at Halfshell on St. Simons Island, GA.

9:39 PM - Sasser talks to his friend, Jarratt Sanford, on the phone for 20 minutes. They discuss Sasser accepting that he was getting a divorce and that he really wanted to see his son, River. Sasser was reportedly hopeful that he would be able to receive more treatment or therapy at a VA Clinic in Georgia. 

During Monday, June 25, Sasser's cellular telephone contact log noted contact between he and River, at 11:15 AM for duration 3 mins 13 secs, at 11:18 AM for duration 27 secs, at 12:09 PM for duration 4 mins42 secs, at 12:29 PM for a duration of 12 secs, at 2:15 PM for duration 1 min 21 secs, at 2:30 PM forduration 1 min 40 secs, at 4:24 PM for duration 22 secs, and at 5:49 PM for duration 1 min 42 secs. Additionally, there were multiple text messages between Sasser and River. 

Tuesday, June 26, 2018~Prior to the court hearing, Sasser visited and spoke with Glynn County Magistrate Court Deputy Clerk Luetrice Lott. During the communication, Sasser sounded "fine," he wasn't upset, he informed Lott that he was over the situation with Katie, and all he wanted was joint custody of River.

8:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Custody Hearing at the Glynn County Courthouse in Brunswick, Georgia.

~4:00 - Katie and her mother, Debra Gann, leave the Glynn County Courthouse and go to Marshside Grill restaurant to get something to drink.

-After Marshside Grill, Debra and Katie leave and go to Moondoggy's Pizza to meet with John Hall and Katie's friends.

3:41 PM- 4:11 PM- Sasser communicated via text messages with his brother in law, Tim Newton. Tim asked Sasser if everything went ok. Sasser indicated "Nope," and Tim told him to "Hang in there bro." Tim then asked Sasser "You headed back here?" Sasser replied, "Thursday."

4:34 PM - Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser is near his residence until at least 5:51 PM.

5:55 PM - 5:56 PM- Sasser searches "how to over come divorce where she wins," and "Recovering Your Life After a Divorce," via his cellular telephone.

7:22 PM - 7:27 PM- Sasser sends text messages with a friend, Mollie Mancil, and informs her he is "Sitting at the house." Mancil asked, "How did today go," and Sasser replied, "Not good at all. "In the evening, after court, Sasser and Bryce go to Bryce's mother, Susan Sasser's residence, and Sasser points out the specific firearms that were to be given to Katie, for River. The firearms originally came from Katie's father and were ordered to be returned to Katie during the recent custody hearing. While at Susan's residence, Susan recalled that Sasser and Bryce had planned to go to Moondoggy's to get food.

~8:00 PM - Debra left Moondoggy's and went to Katie's apartment to meet with Gabby Gunn and obtain River.

~8:00 PM - Sasser and Bryce arrive at Moon doggy's.

8:30 PM - Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone phone records indicate that Sasser was near Susan's residence. The data indicated that the cellular telephone traveled near Moondoggy's at 8:45PM and then west.

~8:50 PM - Katie arrived at her residence and told Debra that Sasser and Bryce showed up at Moondoggy's. After Sasser and Bryce leave Moondoggy's, Bryce called Katie and "lost it on her." This was done in response to Bryce seeing Katie and John Hall at Moondoggy's together.

8:57 PM - Bryce sent a text message to Katie, telling her that "all your property is across the street. "Shortly thereafter, Katie called and texted Bryce to state that law enforcement was en route to Sasser's residence and that if any of her belongings were moved, he would be going to jail.

9:15 PM - Sasser called Glynn County Sheriff Neal Jump. Sheriff Jump does not answer. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser is near Sterling, GA.

~9:15 PM - Sasser contacts Joanna from a private number. Sasser informs Joanna that Katie and Hall were at Moondoggy's together. Joanna stated that she knew John was at Moondoggy's. Joanna asked Sasser to take a photograph of Katie and John together; Sasser tells Joanna he can't because it would be considered stalking.

9:17 PM - Sasser called Bryce twice for a total duration of approximately 9 minutes. Location data from Sasser's phone indicate that Sasser was driving south, away from Sterling, Georgia, towards Highway 82.

~9:20 PM- Katie contacted Glynn County Police Department Crime Victim Liaison Nicole Spannuth and informed that while she was previously at Moondoggy's with Daniel Pearson and John Hall, Sasser and Bryce entered the restaurant and Sasser imitated a gun with his hand and pointed it at Katie, Hall, and Pearson. Spannuth told Katie to call the police to report the incident.

9:27 PM- Katie called Glynn County 911 to report the incident that occurred at Moondoggy's.

9:29 PM & 9:48PM - Sasser received a call from and called Glynn County Police Department Officer Heather Savage. Duration 1 min 14 sec and 2 mins 19 secs. Officer Savage reported that she was friends with Sasser and Katie and that Sasser initially denied being in Brunswick, Georgia when she spoke with him.

9:31 PM- Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Sergeant Gerald Herndon; He did not answer.

9:32 PM - Sasser called his friend, Tommie Crum. Crum did not answer.

9:34 PM - Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Sergeant Gerald Herndon; He did not answer.

9:35 PM - Cory Sasser received a call from a friend, Jacob Melton. Duration 2 min 20 secs.

9:41 PM- Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Sgt. Gerald Herndon. Duration 3 mins 46 secs. During the communication, Sasser asked if Sgt. Herndon was looking for him, and informed that he had been at Moondoggy's with Bryce earlier and had seen Katie and John Hall at the restaurant. Sasser told Sgt. Herndon that he threw his hand up to wave at a male and "nothing happened." Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Cory is driving near Highway 82, near Ratcliff Rd until 10:18 PM.

9:45 PM - Bryce called Sasser. Duration 2 min 6 secs.

9:50 PM - Bryce called Sasser again. Duration appx 3 mins 40 secs.

10:18 PM -Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Officer Scott Browning. Duration 9 mins 18 secs. Sasser reportedly wanted to speak with Officer Browning about what happened at Moondoggy's,but Officer Browning told him he didn't want to know about it. They then spoke about family and traveling. Sasser indicated he knew Officer Browning was going to his residence and that there wasn't going to be any of Katie's property outside the residence as Bryce had previously told Katie. Sasser goes to Tommie Crum's residence in Brunswick, Georgia, to visit. He leaves between 11:30 pm and shortly before 12:00 am. 

11:51 PM -Sasser called his friend, Jarratt Sanford. Duration 22 mins 39 secs. During the call, Sasser expressed that his main goal was to be a father for his kids. Sasser gave no indication that there had been any interaction between he, Katie, and/or Hall at Moondoggy's. Sasser told Jarratt he did not know that Katie and Hall were at the restaurant and that Sasser had no indication that Katie and Hallwere still seeing each other after the first incident at Katie's residence. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser began to drive north on Interstate 95 and towards his residence. During Tuesday, June 26, there were multiple attempted contacts between Sasser and River, that were not successful. Sasser and River sent multiple text messages to each other during the day.

Wednesday, June 27 1:32 AM - Sasser called his sister, Pamela Ashley Newton. Duration 45 min 35 secs. Location data from phone records indicate that Sasser was driving around Brunswick at his cellular telephone hits off serval towers. During the communication, Sasser was upset over how the court hearing went. Newton asked Sasser to go to Susan's residence because he was so upset. She spoke with Sasser as he drove to the residence and confirmed with Bryce that he had arrived.

2:18 AM - Sasser's sister, Pamela Ashley Newton called Sasser. Duration 4 min 52 secs.

2:29 AM - Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Officer Heather Savage. Duration 42 secs.2:47 AM - Glynn County Police Department Officer Heather Savage called Sasser. Duration 11 mins 47secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser is at or near Susan's residence. During the communication with Officer Savage, Sasser admits to having been in Brunswick and asked about the incident at Moondoggy's. Officer Savage did not respond to the incident and didn't provide any information to Sasser.

3:27 AM- Sasser sends a text message to McIntosh County Sheriff's Office Corporal Carl Ralph Johnson stating, "You working." Sasser receives no reply from Corporal Johnson.

3:29 AM - Sasser texts his friend, Jarratt Sanford, "You ever heard of Talamoto island in McIntosh," via his cellular telephone.

3:30 AM - Sasser searches "talemoto island mcintosh" via his cellular telephone.

5:13 AM - Sasser received a text from Jarratt Sanford stating, "I have but not sure where it's at."

7:23 AM- 7:35 AM - Sasser and River text. River wrote that he was spanked by his mom, Katie, and when Sasser asked why, River wrote "I know what happened last night," and "No I back talk." Sasser then texted River "We ran into each other last night at moon doggies she was with him and called law on me."

7:55 AM - Sasser called Brunswick Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Liberty Stewart. Duration 17 mins 52 secs. Sasser told ADA Stewart he was driving to the VA clinic in Savannah, Georgia. They discussed his court proceedings from the day before, the incident at Moondoggy's, and the guns that were to go to River. Sasser told ADA Stewart that he heard it was reported that he made a pistol motion with his hand while at Moondoggy's; Sasser denied that this happened. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was leaving Brunswick and driving north to Savannah.

8:20 AM - Sasser called his friend, Jacob Melton. Duration 5 mins 34 secs.8:27 AM - Sasser called McIntosh County Sheriff's Office Corporal Carl Ralph Johnson. Duration 4 mins 25 secs. During the communication, Sasser asked Corporal Johnson what he knew about John Hall. Corporal Johnson reportedly stated that he knew Hall was from McIntosh County and that he owned some businesses in the area. Sasser also informed Corporal Johnson he was driving to the VA Clinic in Savannah, Georgia.

8:32 AM - Sasser called Susan Sasser, Bryce's mother. Duration 3 min 16 secs.8:43 AM - Sasser called his friend, Hannah Melton. Duration 13 mins 7 secs. Sasser reportedly spoke to Hannah about his court hearing.

8:59 AM- Sasser received a call from Hannah. Duration 6 mins 35 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was in Savannah.

9:38 AM - Sasser arrived at Savannah Toyota.

10:00 AM - Katie met with Glynn County Police Department Detective Stephanie Oliver and wasinterviewed about the incident at Moondoggy's. Katie did not go to work this day.

10:11 AM - Sasser agreed to a negotiated deal for the purchase of a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. He traded in his 2016 white Ford F-150 and was seen to move an "AR-15, a Glock (handgun), and possibly a hunting rifle" from the FlS0 into the Tacoma. Sasser informed Savannah Toyota personnel that he was going toAlabama.

10:20 AM - Sasser signs in to Savannah Toyota Wi-Fi connection via his cellular telephone.

10:47 AM - Sasser called Butch Paxon, a State Farm Insurance Agent. Duration 3 min 39 secs.

11:01 AM & 11:21 AM - Sasser called the Glynn County Magistrate Court Office/ the office of Deputy Clerk Luetrice Lott. Durations 17 & 13 secs.

~11:30 AM - Glynn County Police Department Detective Stephanie Oliver interview's John Hall with his attorney, Jason Clark present. This interview is conducted regarding the Moondoggy's incident.

~wednesday morning, CSRA Probation Officers Amy Corcoran and Katelyn Cross were in State Court when Glynn County Sheriff Neal Jump made them aware of the incident that occurred at Moondoggy's the previous night. Sheriff Jump requested Corcoran and Cross to inform him when Sasser was coming back to Glynn County.

11:47 AM - Glynn County Magistrate Court Deputy Clerk Luetrice Lott called Sasser on her Glynn County Magistrate Court Extension phone number. Duration 2 min 31 secs. Sasser reportedly mentioned how his court hearing had gone and spoke about the incident at Moondoggy's from 6/26. He stated that when he and Bryce went to get something to eat, Katie and John Hall were there. When Sasser was leaving, he threw his hand up to wave at a bartender, and police responded to Moondoggy's.

11:52 AM - Sasser called J & J Tire in Brunswick, Georgia. Duration 1 min 28 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was in Liberty County, Georgia.

12:21 PM - Sasser called his friend, Mollie Mancil. Duration 8 mins 55 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser began the call in/near Darien, McIntosh County, GA and he traveled north on Highway 99, towards John Hall's residence.

12:35 PM- Sasser received a call from Jacob Melton, Owner of J & J Tire Pros. Melton informed that he and Sasser had planned to meet and have lunch this day. During the communication, Sasser informed that he was stuck at a vehicle accident on interstate 95. They did not meet for lunch.12:41 PM - Sasser called McIntosh County 911 Director Vickie Naugle on her personal cellular telephone, while she was at work. Duration 7 mins 8 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser is in McIntosh County, north of Hall's residence, near or on Highway 99. During the communication with Naugle, Sasser requested Naugle to query an address for him regarding a piece of property he heard was for sale by owner. Naugle told Sasser she was unable to perform the requested query for him. Sasser reportedly wanted to give Naugle the name of the home owner so she could cross reference it to obtain the exact residence address. Sasser did not give Naugle the name of the person he wanted her to query, and Naugle did not perform the query. During the communication,Sasser indicated he was lost in the area of Old Cane Mill, on Tolomato Island, McIntosh County, Georgia.

12:58 PM - Sasser called Darien Police Department Officer James Richard "Richie" Douberly. Duration 12mins 1 sec. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser traveled south on Highway 99, and passed the road for John Hall's residence. During the communication with Officer Douberly, Sasser informed that he was "in town," and asked if he wanted to eat lunch with him. Officer Douberly stated he was in Brunswick, and they spoke via telephone about the VA Office, VA benefits,and that Officer Douberly had heard about Sasser's incidents in May, 2018. Officer Douberly indicated that "we talked like we always talked," and "nothing seemed too much out of the way."

1:10 PM- Sasser called River. Duration 7 mins 23 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephonerecords indicate that Sasser is in the area of Interstate 95 and Highway 25, west of Highway 99.

1:23 PM - Sasser called McIntosh County 911 Director Vicki Naugle; No answer.

1:53 PM - 1:54 PM - Sasser searched "john hall jr tolamato," "john hall jr tolamato mcintosh," and "johnhall jr tolomato mcintosh," via his cellular telephone.

1:59 PM - Sasser searched "public address for john hall jr darien," via his cellular telephone.

2:24 PM - Sasser received a call from David Gay. Duration 10 mins 54 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser's cellular telephone is connecting off the cellular tower near Tolomato Island and Hall's residence.

2:38 PM - Sasser searches "husband kills man who wife cheats with," via his cellular telephone.

2:42 PM - Sasser sent a text message to Joanna stating, "Did he deny it."

2:43 PM - Sasser called River. Duration 2 mins. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone recordsindicate that Sasser's cellular telephone was still hitting off the tower by Tolomato and Hall's residence.

2:57 PM - Sasser searches "hall address darien ga" and "john hall jr address darien ga," via his cellulartelephone.

3:00 PM and 3:02 PM - Sasser received text messages from Joanna that stated, "Said she came in withher mom. There was a group of them playing trivia," and "So no."

3:32 PM - Sasser sent a text message to Joanna stating, "Where is he now."

3:33 PM - Sasser received a text message from Joanna stating, "why?" Sasser did not respond to thistext message.

3:43 PM - Sasser received a call from Mollie Mancil. Duration 2 mins 56 secs. Location data fromSasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was near Darien, McIntosh County, Georgia.

3:52 PM - 4:42 PM - Sasser and River talk multiple times. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephonerecords indicate that at the time of the first call, Sasser was traveling south, leaving McIntosh County.At the time of the last call, he is in Jacksonville, Florida.~ Wednesday afternoon, CSRA Probation Officer Katelyn Cross received a message to contact Glynn County Police Department Detective Stephanie Oliver regarding the incident that occurred at Moondoggy's, regarding Sasser. CSRA Probation Officer Amy Corcoran returned Detective Oliver's phone call and during the communication was informed that there were no charges for Sasser at that time.

~wednesday afternoon, CSRA Probation Officer Amy Corcoran spoke with Katie and was informed thatshe wanted to press charges against Sasser. ~Between 9:00 AM -10:00 AM- CSRA Probation Officer Amy Corcoran called the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and spoke with Mark Spaulding regarding revoking Sasser's bond pursuant to a reported incident that occurred at Moondoggy's. Spaulding told Corcoran to try to coordinate a date with the court to schedule a bond revocation hearing for Sasser. Corcoran recalled this conversation took place on Wednesday and Spaulding recalled this conversation took place on Thursday at the aforementioned time.

~Thursday morning- CSRA Probation Officer Amy Corcoran spoke with Glynn County Police Department Detective Stephanie Oliver while in Magistrate Court and asked if there were going to be any warrants for Sasser. Detective Oliver told Corcoran that at that time, there weren't, and that they didn't thinkthey had enough to support an aggravated stalking charge.

During the communication, Sasser wanted to pre-pay for his cremation and funeral arrangements. Sasser informed that he was going out of state and eventually overseas with work, and he didn't want Bryce to have to worry about it if something were to happen to him. Sasser insisted on paying for his cremation over the phone via credit card and he paid an additional sum for an insurance policy to cover if he died overseas and would need to be shipped back. At that time, Sasser told Jones he was in Alabama.

Sasser lied on the purchasing form and answered no to the questions "have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution," and "are you subject to a court order restraining you from harassing, stalking, or threatening your child or an intimate partner or child of such partner."

4:21 PM - Sasser called David James; James did not answer. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was travelling away from Valdosta, Georgia, traveling east on Highway 84.

4:35 PM - Sasser calls Kevin Hopkins. Duration 33 secs.

4:26 PM - Sasser called David Shawn Culpepper. Duration 19 mins 32 secs. During the communication, Sasser made comments to him that John Hall was ruining people's lives, that somebody needed to stop him, and that "one day someone's gonna do something." Culpepper stated that Sasser said he wasn't going to do anything and told him he was "out of town." They also spoke about what was going on inSasser's life with his divorce, his house, and his sons.

4:46 PM - Bolingbrook, Illinois Police Officer Kevin Hopkins called Sasser. Duration 13 mins 49 secs.Hopkins stated that his conversation with Sasser was fairly regular and that they spoke about Sasser trying to get visitation with his son, River. During the call, Sasser told Hopkins he was on the road from Biloxi, Mississippi, going to Mobile, Alabama.

.5:12 PM - Sasser called Glynn County Police Officer Kevin Yarborough. Duration 2 mins 1 sec. During the communication, Sasser wanted Officer Yarborough to obtain John Hall's address. Sasser requested Officer Yarborough to query the Glynn County Police Department database- Spillman for the information. Sasser told Officer Yarborough that Katie had River at John Hall's residence and that "if it was your kid, I would do it for you." At the conclusion of the communication, Officer Yarborough told Sasser he didn't know if he could help him out, and he did not perform the query for Sasser.

5:16 PM - Brunswick Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Liberty Stewart called Sasser. Duration 22mins 34 secs. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser turned off of Highway 82 and headed north on County Line Rd 289 towards Jesup, Georgia. Bryce recalled that during the conversation, they spoke about a new collar for Bryce's dog, and about if Bryce's swearing in with the Brunswick Police Department could be pushed back to a later date so Sasser could attend it.

5:59 PM - Sasser and his sister, Ashley Newton, had been texting since 5:13 PM. Sasser confirmed via text that he was in Biloxi and was staying there that weekend.

5:59 PM- Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Officer Kevin Yarborough; No answer.

6:00 PM - Lori Mills, a neighbor of John Hall, recalled seeing silver Toyota pick-up truck driving onto Tolomato Island as she was exiting her neighborhood.

6:01 PM - Sasser called Jacob Melton. Duration 1 min 49 secs. During the conversation, Melton invited Sasser to travel to Florida with him and others on the following weekend. Sasser said he would go. Melton recalled that he could tell something was bothering Sasser. The phone call had bad reception and kept breaking up.

6:06 PM - Glynn County Police Department Officer Justin Smith called Sasser. Duration 3 mins. Officer Smith recalled he had just left the firing range and Sasser asked if he was going onto work that evening. Officer Smith told him he wasn't. 6:23 PM- Glynn County Police Department Officer Kevin Yarborough sent a text message to Sasser stating, "I'm at hq, dealing with a formal complaint. Give me a few and I'll call. .. "

7:20 PM - Sasser called Glynn County Police Department Officer Yarborough. Duration 24 mins 4 secs. During the communication, Officer Yarborough expressed to Sasser that he didn't want his name involved in any query and that he knew that what was done in the Glynn County Police Department database- Spillman, was trackable. Sasser requested Officer Yarborough to have another law enforcement individual perform the query. Sasser also asked Officer Yarborough if he knew anything about Tolomato Island; Sasser stated it was in McIntosh County and was where John Hall was supposed to reside. Sasser stated ""I just wanna teach the mother fucker about principles, I wanna show him what fucking principles are about," referring to John Hall. During the communication, Sasser asked Officer Yarborough to drive by Katie's residence, and then to knock on Katie's residence door to check on River. When Officer Yarborough questioned Sasser's location, Sasser stated he was drunk, outside of a casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Officer Yarborough did not perform the query for Sasser nor did he assist Sasser with obtaining the requested information about John Hall. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicate that Sasser was in Brunswick, Georgia, and towards the end of the phone conversation with Officer Yarborough, was located near Susan Sasser's residence.

7:27 PM - Shawn Culpepper texted Sasser, "So I got to thinking .... can I get my guns back that I was selling you? I could use the money and you and I will be settled up. It's the easiest way to settle up financially."

7:46 PM - Bryce Sasser called Cory Sasser. Duration 1 min 19 secs. Bryce told Sasser that Dannette was worried about him and that she was headed to Alabama to see him. Sasser told Bryce he was fine, that he had talked to Dannette earlier about spending the weekend with him, and he said he was in Biloxi,Mississippi.

Sasser stated that in his mind, he thought about going to John Hall's residence, knocking on his door, and telling his wife what HALL was doing. Sanford told Sasser the best thing he could do was to move on; Sasser agreed that Sanford was right and that he was on a track to get himself right. Sasser thanked Sanford for being a good friend. Sasser assured Sanfords that he was good and he told him· he was in Alabama,and was planning to go to Biloxi, to a casino.

8:40 PM - Cade Durrence, neighbor to John and Joanna Hall and resident of Tolomato Island, Darien,Georgia, sees a silver Toyota pick-up truck parked near his residence.

9:15 PM- 9:42 PM- Bryce called Ashley Newton, Sasser's sister, and asked if she had seen Sasser. Bryce called Sasser 7 times and received no answer. Bryce reportedly questioned if Sasser had been back to his residence in Brunswick, Georgia because he had found a quantity of money and Sasser's watch next to the bed.

~Before 10:00 PM- Bryce Called Dannette and asked if she had spoken with Sasser lately. She informed she spoke with him earlier. Dannette stated she thought Bryce thought Sasser was in Biloxi, Mississippi at that time. Bryce told her he was trying talk to Sasser about a bill.

9:39 PM- McIntosh County 911 is called regarding shots fired on Mission Drive on Tolomato Island,Darien, McIntosh County, Georgia.

9:41 PM- McIntosh County 911 was called by Mary Nelson, regarding multiple gunshots heard from outside of her residence, at llll Mission Drive SE, Darien, McIntosh County, Georgia.

9:42 PM- McIntosh County 911 radio communication with McIntosh County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jason Turner, who was handling a call in the area of Tolomato Island. Deputy Turner is made aware of the two 911 calls regarding shots fired, in close proximity to where he was.

9:43 PM- McIntosh County 911 was called by Savannah Durrence, who informed that her neighbor, John Hall, had been shot in front of his residence, several times in the chest.

-Savannah's brother, Cade Durrence informed that just prior to the 911 call, he heard a gunshot come from inside John Hall's residence, then a male exited the residence, pointed at Cade, and stated "that's what happens when you sleep with another man's wife." The male had a longarm gun in his arm.

9:44 PM - 9:45 PM - Sasser called Bryce. Duration appx 1 min 13 secs. Sasser told Bryce, "Its done bud,its done," and "I killed them, I killed them both." Bryce asked Sasser what he was going to do now, andSasser replied, "do what I gotta do." Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicatedthat Sasser was near Tolomato Island and Hall's residence.

9:46 PM- McIntosh County radio communication from Georgia DNR Game Warden Johnny Bright requesting law enforcement to be on the lookout for a four-door silver Tacoma that was thought to possible be involved in the shooting. Bright added that he spoke with the vehicle occupant and that the occupant wasn't from that area and he knew the occupant shouldn't be around there right now.

9:49 PM- McIntosh County radio communication regarding the driver of the Tacoma that was thought tobe involved in the shooting, being Sasser.

9:52 PM -Ashley Newton called Sasser. Duration 18 mins 3 secs. Sasser admits he was not in Biloxi,confesses to killing John and Katie, and that he did not plan to go to prison. Newton tried to talk Sasser out of harming himself. Location data from Sasser's cellular telephone records indicated that Sasser was traveling south on Interstate 95 in Georgia.

~10:00 PM - Debra received a phone call from Bryce, stating that he needed to come get her and River to take them to a safe place because Sasser just killed John Hall. Debra hung up the phone and called 911.

10:11 PM - Sasser called McIntosh County 911 Director Vicki Naugle. Duration 1 hr and 39 mins. This isSasser's last outgoing call from his cellular telephone. Location data from Sasse r's cellular telephone records indicate that near the end of the call, Sasser was near or at his residence. During the call, Sasser told Naugle that he was at the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office Jail to turn himself in. Naugle communicated with McIntosh County 911 and was informed that Sasser was not at the jail. Naugle connected the communication between she and Sasser into a three-way call with her husband, Glynn County Police Department Sergeant Eric Naugle. During the communication, Sasser stated "it was the principle of things," and the last thing he said was, "it's over." Sgt. Naugle maintained the telephone call with Sasser, despite communication ceasing just prior to Sasser pulling his vehicle into his residence driveway.

10:13 PM- 10:23 PM- McIntosh County 911 Director Vicki Naugle called McIntosh County 911 to inform that Sasser was at the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office to turn himself in. During the communication,Naugle stated she was on the telephone with Sasser. McIntosh County Jail confirmed that Sasser was not there. Naugle repeatedly asked Sasser where he was and Naugle told him to turn himself in. Naugle encouraged Sasser to pull his vehicle over and to turn himself into Glynn County Police Department Sergeant Eric Naugle.

10:24 PM- McIntosh County radio communication regarding law enforcement turning onto Hunters Drive, during Sasser's pursuit. Sasser resides at 37 Hunters Drive, Brunswick, Georgia.~Thursday evening from 

10:24 PM until Friday morning, Sasser's vehicle remained under surveillance by multiple law enforcement personnel until Glynn County SWAT Team approached the vehicle, utilized gas canisters, and found Sasser to have a gunshot wound to his chest. During the surveillance, no gunshot was heard from Sasser's vehicle and minimal motion was detected from Sasser. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Glynn County Police Department to conduct Sasser's death investigation.
