The Islands Planning Commission will meet tonight to consider a Special Use permit for an 8,000 sq. ft. event facility to be located on Lawrence Road on the old polo grounds property. The development area is approximately 8 acres. According to the County Planning Staff’s report traffic flow along Lawrence Road will not be adversely affected. The venue will be adjacent to the marsh and include four horse paddocks. The venue will primarly be used on weekends for events like weddings, anniversary parties, birthday parties and family reunions
