Thomas J. Walters arrived at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick last week and took over as the new director on Monday. Replacing Connie Patrick as the center’s director, Walters served nearly three decades with the federal Customs and Border Protection agency, and comes to Brunswick after running his own private border security consulting business. Starting as a border patrol agent in Texas in 1975, Walters moved up the leadership ladder and had a significant hand in crafting its mission and purpose.
