The Federal Emergency Management Agency will open their Hurricane Irma disaster response center at Ballard Park at noon today. The center will be open from noon to 7 p.m. today and will assume a regular schedule after that of being open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. The center will operate until further notice. FEMA offers assistance for homes and primary residences, businesses and other needs. By law, the agency is unable to duplicate coverage received from insurance. Renters can also receive assistance.
