With a target date of March 1st next year to execute a bond issue, the Joint Water and Sewer Commission expects to have the final conceptual engineering data by mid-October to determine how much money they will need to borrow. The bond money will be used to supplement their two current SPLOST projects - the north mainland sewer improvements and the Brunswick sewer project. Bond money will also be used to rehab and upgrade both the Academy Creek and Dunbar Creek treatment plants.
