Frederica Academy senior Thomas Hogan will miss the first day of school when his classmates return to class on Wednesday and could potentially miss the first few days. He’s got a good excuse - he will be in Los Angeles playing in the U.S. Amateur, one of the most prestigious amateur golf tournaments in the world. Hogan began play yesterday afternoon at the at the Bel-Air Country Club. The tournament will also be played on the nearby Riviera Country Club.
