School Board Maintains Tax Rate, Revenues Increase

The Glynn County Board of Education will keep the current millage rate of 16.157 mils which is considered a millage increase because it is 2.09% over the roll back rate. The school board has scheduled three public hearings on the millage rate: 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17 and 12:00 noon Thursday, August 24 after which they are expected to approve the millage rate. The meetings will take place in the Egmont St. board room.
