Arguments Heard, No Decision Yet in BPD Promotions Suit

Judge Stephen Scarlett heard arguments yesterday, but did not rule, in the case concerning the Summary Judgment request by the City of Brunswick in the law suit of six police officers against the city for refusing to honor their promotions. The City argued that there was no written contract and no indication of a pay range for the promotions. The plaintiff argued that there was a contract, that the pay scale was included in the city manual, and that there were enough disputes in the case to put it in front of a jury.
