County Receilves Partial Reimbursement From FEMA

Glynn County received an initial reimbursement of $6.7 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for cleanup after Hurricane Matthew. The check, presented to County Commission Chairman Bill Brunson from Georgia Emergency Management Agency\Homeland Security Director Homer Bryson, came from FEMA’s Public Assistance Grant program. Total estimated damages from the storm are placed at $11.4 million. FEMA reimbursement to the county is estimated at $10.1 million.
