Tax Town Hall Shortened

The county commission’s public hearing on the budget last night was slated for 2 hours but only lasted about 45 minutes. About 13 people took to the podium to address the commission. About three-fourths spoke in opposition, with the rest speaking in support of the proposed budget and millage increase. Commissioners Mark Stambaugh and Bob Coleman both spoke and suggested deferring approval of the budget to find ways to cut with the intention reducing the millage increase.
