The Glynn County Commission had their first review of the 2018 budget on Wednesday. The consensus was that it is time to approve the 2 mil increase in the millage rate. The increase is based largely on the need for pay raises, in particular for public safety employees, the need to hire 18 new employees and a number of capital improvement projects. The commission will meet again next week for more budget talks.
