According to federal officials Brunswick’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center could see an increase of some 4,000 additional students over the next four years. The increase would be due to President Trump’s crack down on illegal immigration. The Trump Administration is calling for an amendment to add nearly $3 billion to the 2017 budget, which would create about 1,500 new officers between the Border Patrol and Customs Enforcement departments. Both agencies train at FLETC.
