The Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for today on Rosewood Drive and Gatch Lane in Brunswick. Water pressure is expected to drop in the area from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to system repairs. The loss of pressure may cause bacterial contamination or other disease-causing organisms to enter the system. People in the are are advised to boil water for at least three minutes and let it cool before drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food. When the work is finished, water samples will be evaluated over the next 24 to 48 hours to determine if there is a bacterial threat.
